If you have never been to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, then you are definitely missing out.

Our zoo is amazing with an incredible rainforest exhibit where you can walk the tops of the trees and also head to the jungle floor to see different animals complete with waterfalls surrounding you. The aquarium has a tunnel you walk under with sharks and stingray circling overhead and thousands of different sea creatures throughout. The desert dome is awesome with all kinds of animals and a huge kingdom of the night exhibit with nocturnal animals!

The butterfly pavilion is so cool where butterflies can fly around and land on you throughout the greenhouse. There is a new Asian Highland exhibit under construction plus giraffes, zebras, elephants, gorillas, monkeys, and tons more!

I can't wait for Larson to be a little older to enjoy this new children's area where they can interact with all the learning about animals. They can play in the water and crawl over bridges. There is also a new splash park with giant animals that shoot water so kids can wear swimsuits and play for hours in the water! It was pouring rain when we got there from a storm that came out of nowhere! So we got to enjoy the new baby area and Larson could eat and play in the air conditioning while we waited for the storm.

Everyone has a favorite part of the zoo, so I'm curious as to what yours is? This was Larson's first time and she went crazy for the animals. Her favorite was a toss up, we think. She loved the Koi fish pond and would kick her legs like crazy to lean over to watch them. She really loved the butterflies and could spot them far away and pointed to everything! When we were in the rainforest, she just kept yelling and pointing to everything she saw! She obviously loved the aquarium so much too and just couldn't stop looking around so fast to see everything!

We can't wait to go back!
