Renz | 2013

This is Becky and her little family! Since the last time we saw them, they have grown by one!

Little Noah is an adorable guy and Harper is one of the most fun little girls! This is the first session that I really noticed I put everything I learned from I Heart Faces to use, and it was one of the easiest sessions I've had. I was in and out of there in less than an hour with newborns, Harper's three year old pictures, and family portraits!

Harper and I had a lot of fun teasing each other and talking the whole time. There were no tears, no whining, and no saying 'CHEESE!' It was all natural and fun, which is what I ultimately want to be at all the time. We joked a lot about purple hair and green macaroni and cheese. I had so much fun with them!

These guys were SO much fun! Taneah and I lived on the same floor in our dorm freshmen year of college. We had A LOT of fun together, obviously. So naturally her family is just as fun! We trekked through campus and then went to the greatest place in Nebraska, Memorial Stadium!

Hope you enjoy!

Dreaming Big in Ohio

You guys. I had the most amazing time last weekend at the I Heart Faces photo conference! You might remember last year when I won a ticket to the conference in Dallas. After one of the most amazing days ever, there was no way I was missing this year!

And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint! Obviously.

This year we all got to attend the Friday night kick off party and we had such a fun night! Angie and Amy put so much into this entire conference and every little thing was thought through, down to the I Heart Faces themed candy!

This year, about 5 different classes were offered every hour. There were so many great ones to choose from! If I could've cloned myself I definitely would've! I got to enjoy classes from some of the best teachers including Jennifer Tonetti-Spellman, Susan Keller, and Keli Hoskins among many many more!

These women KNOW their stuff! It was so wonderful to be able to see them in action and hear their most successful stories, some of their downfalls, and all of their tips and tricks! For them to share what they've learned along the way is so great for all of us attendees and the way they share their real life stories really hits home.

I learned even more about light, about capturing things in everyday life, and tons about lifestyle! My world was rocked yet again by Jenn while watching her work with kids. The way she talks and works and flies around a shoot is so awesome...this woman is the coolest! If you've never seen her work, go there now.

It's also awesome having all of the sponsors there to try out things and shop around. I tried out a lens from Arlington Camera for a few hours of the day and fell in love, then talked myself out of it and bought an Epiphanie bag. Which is a really good thing because it turns out I was the winner of one of the giveaways at the end of the day and it was a lens! I don't know how I have such good luck with I Heart Faces, but I do! It's probably just because I love Angie and Amy so much! :)

I can't even wait to get it in the mail and put it to very good use!

On Sunday, there was a Photo Walk filled with adorable and awesome models! We got to explore the hotel a little more, share settings and tips, and more importantly hang out with each other before our goodbyes!

We got to hang with Angie's daughter, Weslea and she is amazing! She knows what she's doing, even when there's 50 women pointing cameras in her face!

Next up was an adorable couple!

Two of my favorite ladies!

And then it was a boatload of adorable kiddos all around!

The location for this conference was perfect. Everything was so pretty and great for a bunch of photographers!

And I got to spend the whole weekend with my Mama, (or #conferencemom as she is now known) which is always awesome. I'm JUST like her and I'm totally okay with that :)

I can't wait to continue putting all of the awesome things I learned to use and keep up with all of the amazing new women I met. They are all wonderful photographers and it's great to be in the same room as so many people you can talk and learn from. The only thing I hate about this weekend is the fact that I have to say goodbye and only get to see them once a year! Thank you so much to Angie and Amy and the whole I Heart Faces team as well as the teachers. This year was amazing and all of your hard work paid off! Everything was perfect...except for the hotel coffee :)

Until next year, ladies! Keep dreaming BIG!
