I'm a Kindergarten teacher!

Blog friends! You're all so great and have been asking me about what's going on in life. So I figured I'd better give you an update..

A whole lot of busy..that's what! I ended up quitting my preschool teaching position and took one nannying twin boys, which ended up falling through. But that made way for some things to fall together and me nannying the same littles I've been with for two years! We had a really great summer together and that will always be one of the best 'jobs' I ever had!

In Lincoln Public Schools, your general application is online and then principals find you and call you for openings they have. I had a few interviews but was starting to think I was going to spend my year doing something else! Until I got called for an interview on Wednesday morning and was offered the job Wednesday afternoon! I ended up meeting parents and kids already at the kindergarten picnic on Thursday!

I had New Teacher Orientation all week and Open House is already on Thursday! It all moved so fast! But I'm so excited to be teaching this year!

Here's my empty room that I am frantically working on filling up! School meetings are all this week so I really just have Monday to do it!

Wish me and my little owls luck!

This would be how I'm feeling this week!

Thanks for all your congrats! I'm so excited and nervous to see what this year will bring!

  2. Congratulations! How exciting! Even if potentially a little overwhelming :) Those little kiddos will be lucky to have you!

I grew up in LPS - what school will you be teaching at? I know I loved my time in LPS - I went to Pershing Elementary and my teachers were awesome!

  3. oh my lanta. It's so weird to think of someone I know as a teacher, like, up in front of a classroom with all their own little students. so exciting!
