This weekend was the first weekend of the entire summer that I was actually in Lincoln, and had nothing at all planned. I was excited to see people and do lots of sitting around!
Finally got to go out with some friends! I saw lots of people I haven't seen very much of this summer and it was great just to sit outside and catch up.
My mom came down for the day and we went to The Farmers Market. It was awesome, as usual.
We finally got to eat lunch at Hu Hot (my Dad isn't a fan so we only go when just Mom comes to visit) and did some shopping, neither of us found what we were looking for. But we had a good time and I got to spend some time with my Mama, which is always great.
Spent some time at my place. Couch sitting, movie watching, and pretzel m & m eating. A night at home is just what I needed.
Had a great workout and spent a few hours at Scooters on Sunday. It hasn't been 180 degrees out the past two days and I just sat outside for the afternoon.
Thumbs up for this week being over! Holy cow, what a long, daunting week that seemed like it was never going to end! But, it's over, and it's the weekend...which I love. Duh.
1. Morning cuddles with my little man. I'm avoiding the thought of only having a few more days with him :(
2. Mail! I love getting things in the mail, especially when it's pretty things!
Even if my name was completely, totally butchered!:)
3. A random, awesome present from a sweet friend. She's the coolest.
4. A morning run with bright blue skies and temperatures that were actually under 100 degrees.
5. Storms! I would love me some rain! After workout class last night we just sat outside for a little bit and took in these views
This weekend is the only weekend all summer that I have absolutely nothing to do. I'm so excited. No photo shoots, weddings, races, working, or trips. Actually seeing friends and doing some shopping are in the works!
This was one of my weekends full of driving! I was in lots of different places but had such a good weekend!
Started out Friday driving home to Columbus and having dinner with the family at Valentino's. We're people who love tradition (especially me!) and we have been going out to eat here before every road race my Dad has ran, even back to when I was really little. So there's no reason we shouldn't keep this tradition going!
This girl. Sometimes (usually) she becomes the center of attention because she's so hilarious. I'm not even going to explain what's happening in this picture because most normal people would think it was pretty gross (yet hilarious!) But she had all of us laughing so hard. She also has the most contagious giggle that even other tables were joining in.There's never a dull moment with this one.
Started off Saturday morning with the Downtown Runaround in Columbus. I ran with my niece, Hailey as a memorial run for her cousin who passed away last week. My dad ended up winning the money for oldest Downtown Runaround shirt yet again this year along with winning his age group too, like usual!
We ran home to get ready and drive to Omaha for a wedding of some of my brothers friends.
Walked into the reception of the wedding only to find my cousin and my aunt as the bartenders! It was an awesome surprise, so we got to hang out with them for the night and get excited about Okoboji, happening in TWO weeks!
Spent the night in Omaha and drove back in the early morning for work at the hospital. It was a slow day, but then I came home and took a NAP! Do you know how long it's been since I've been able to take a nap? I haven't been able to just sit around and relax for so long. It was the best thing!
My family and I did The Color Run last weekend. It was super fun to have everyone do it together. We got all decked out in white and had everything from headbands, glasses, and goggles to boxer shorts and bumblebee tutus. We had a blast and started lots of trends including cartwheels, Phoebe Buffay running, and rolling through the color.
