Another fun weekend! I actually got to sleep and I'm so happy about it! But I also got to see so many fun people again!
Friday night started with working Fun Night at the school I student teach at. It was fun to see all the kids in awesome costumes! Plus these awesome cakes!
I went out to dinner with Ellen and Britnee, who we haven't got to hang out with forever. So it was really good to catch up for longer than a quick class.
Did some singing and dancing around while getting ready, met up with lots of my crazy friends, and then over to a friends house with more people for the rest of the night.
Woke up Saturday morning for a workout then all kinds of different game day fun, where I got to see so many awesome friends that I barely ever see!
Got some work done Sunday, then got to take pictures of an awesome family...who will have a sneak peek very soon!
And, this girl turned fifteen! I can't even believe it. I have definitely gotten a taste of what parents mean when they say "it feels like yesterday" with all the kids in my life. It really doesn't feel like that long ago when she came home from the hospital and she looked like this..
Or even like this...
But now she looks like this...and she's crazy and hilarious and awesome! I can't believe she's fifteen!
Here is what's happening with me and Fall right now...I feel rushed, and happy, and worried all at the same time. It happens every single year. Every thing about Fall makes me so happy and content with life. But I feel the need to capture every single aspect of this season. I pull over at every tree, I spend time taking pictures of leaves on the ground, the sunsets, the weather, the smells and sounds.
I feel like if I don't savor every last second I'm going to miss it. I know every one loves Fall and we all anticipate its arrival, but once it's here, I feel like it's gone before I know it.
Cardigans, boots, jeans, dresses and leggings, jackets, and the most important thing...SCARVES. They're all such wonderful things. Towards the very end of summer I crave these things far too early, but once they're here I'm giddy. Not much can shake my mood.
The most perfect Fall activity? The Pumpkin Patch. Duh.
My family and I make the trip every year. And once again, I love everything about it! (Which means you get another list of why this place is the worlds greatest)
Oranges, reds, browns, greens, yellows.
Caramel Apples and Popcorn Balls
Tiny, baby pumpkins
The smells of Fall...all together in one place
Everything about this time of year is just perfect. I will full on savor the giddiness of this season!
Which, of course, means there will be a whole bunch of pictures coming up...
I'm so drained. Completely exhausted in every single way, and all I want to do is sleep. But this week was good, so that's awesome!
1. The fact that we got these pictures back from my friend Sherman.
2. Informal interviews with a whole bunch of schools on Wednesday. I'm sort of confused on what I want to end up doing, and going to these makes it even more confusing! But it was good to talk to a lot of different districts and learn a little bit about them.
3. Needtobreathe. They're the best band I've
ever seen live. If you haven't heard them, check them out! It was such a wonderful show.
5. After today, I have 5 weeks left until I graduate. FIVE! That's scary and awesome all at the same time. But it went by so fast!
This weekend...I'm so excited to sleep. I'll be doing other really fun things too, but sleeping is my main priority and I can't wait.
