"No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow"
Today I found this quote. It totally reminded me of this picture of the day. We had a really long winter; lots of snow, lots of ice, lots of cold weather, which led to lots of complaining. But once you see the first buds on a tree, flowers out of the ground, or green grass, you know spring is close, and it just makes everyone happy!
Just some flowers from my mom's garden in Columbus.
Today I sat through 4 hours of a dance recital. Those things always blow my mind. Months and months of work goes into them, for 4 hours of dancing. Even though they are usually somewhat entertaining, they are mega boring and feel like they last forever! But oh well, Addie did awesome for the 3 dances she was in!
I made these last week at Paint Yourself Silly. I'm not too happy with how they turned out, but they're okay. No matter how many times you paint it, it will always come out lighter than you want and you'll always be able to see the paint strokes!
This has been part of my picture of the day before. But, today I looked at it, and it really meant something. Nothing is ever going to happen for you unless you do something about it, and that's what I thought when I walked by this picture this morning.
My sisters dog Lily had her puppies last week. I finally got over there today to see them and they are the sweetest little things! I really want one! There's seven of them...4 yellow, 2 chocolate, and 1 black.

Drove past this guy on the way back from work. Today went from really gloomy, rainy, and gross to sunny and pretty nice outside. Right before I saw him, I watched about 20 deer run across the road into a field, but I didn't get my camera out quick enough!
Basically, my parents rule. I was a little bummed that I don't get an Easter basket anymore. So I got out of the shower to find an Easter basket on my bed and eggs hidden all over the house exactly the way they were when I was little. It was awesome. But now I have tons of candy sitting around my house tempting me to eat it!
Today was awesome. I'm in Columbus this weekend and went to my sister's early this morning. I spent the entire day with all 5 of my nieces and nephews. We ran around in the yard, chased the ice cream man, played games, read books, and took naps in the grass. I love those kids more than anything!
Here's Hailey and the new puppy Roxie playing in the grass.
