December 25

Merry Christmas!
Well everyone dreams of a white Christmas, and we definitely got it. I woke up this morning to drifts taller than people. Our family couldn't even get over our house to celebrate Christmas, so my family braved the elements and scooped the street so people had a place to park.

And here's my house : )

December 24

I tend to love Christmas Eve much more than Christmas Day itself (except for the 24 hour Christmas Story marathon.) Our entire family gets together. There's so many of us, we don't even fit in one room. There is absolutely no way I could pick a picture from today, so I added a few.

December 23

Today, my family and I took our family picture. Outside. While it was snowing buckets. In the freezing cold.

We did end up getting a decent picture for our Christmas card. But these ducks were everywhere. I couldn't decide on my picture for the day, so take your pick. : )

Also, this little guy was there too. Any help on what the heck kind of bird he is would be greatly appreciated.

December 22

Here's the remnants of a Curry Christmas followed by fun games and snacks. They always get some sweet presents too! : )

December 21

Here's my puppy Maddie. She never lets me take pictures of her. The second I lay on the ground to snap one she comes over, tail wagging and ready to play. But this time, she just stayed and watched me click away. She was less than thrilled about it too, if you can't tell.

December 20

Some of my mom's decorations at our house in Cbus. It feels like home : )

December 19

Ahhh home. I'm home already for Christmas break and looking forward to a lot of relaxing time with my family.

December 18

Here's one of those gooey window cling things on our balcony door with a sunset in the background. I attempt this picture a lot and it never turns out the way I want it to, but I guess this one is decent enough.

December 17

My wonderful Grandma sent me this card to my apartment. She's great.

December 16

Tonight was our roommate Christmas. We went out to eat and then came back and opened presents. Here are the remnants of the boxes. I got some pretty awesome stuff too!

December 15

Here's the star on our Christmas tree. This picture took me at least 300 tries because the star kept moving. After standing on the arm of the couch balancing myself on the ceiling, I think it turned out okay.

December 14

Here's a lame photo for today. I took it when I woke up this morning (before I spent 45 minutes scraping) of the freezing rain and frozen trees outside my apartment. I was hoping I would find something cooler for my photo of the day. But I came across nothing spectacular. Hopefully tomorrow I will have more to show.

December 13

'Tis the season to be jolly. Here's a present waiting for me under the tree from my roommate. I'm excited to open it!

December 12

Tonight was a relaxing day at home. Then I went to the Husker basketball game and came home for more studying for the dreaded finals next week. These are my roommates Christmas socks and Brian drinking some hot chocolate while we watch Charlie Brown Christmas. It's a good night.

December 11

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with candy canes. I hate peppermint the majority of the time. But around Christmas time I just crave it. But, then I eat a candy cane and can barely get through one little piece before I spit it out and throw the rest away. Maybe if I keep trying, it'll grow on me...

December 10

My roommates and I didn't have work today because of the lame snow. So we spent our day together eating lunch, making cookies, and hanging out watching t.v. It was a good day.

December 9

I spent the last 2 snow days drinking lots of spiced tea and doing lots of homework. Here's a picture of the process : )

December 8

Nebraska is currently in a crazy blizzard. Schools all over the state got canceled and I'm spending my snow day with Kyle, some spiced tea (thanks to B.Gil for the recipe), cookies, and lots of studying.

December 7

This is probably my favorite photo of December so far. I finally bought a tree and other decorations for our apartment. I wasn't going to, since I don't spend Christmas here, but it felt too blah when I walked in and it didn't feel like home. So here's a preview of my tree.

December 6

This is from a friends tree. I loved the one lonely bulb (& my reflection in it!)

December 5

This is from a friends Husker party. Their house is so festive with decorations and it always feels so homey. I was especially a fan of this photo.

December 4

This is a reindeer that Kyle made that's hanging on his fridge. I think he's pretty cute : )

December 3

This is a bulb on my roommates little 1 foot Christmas tree. The whole thing is so tiny!

December 2

This is a wreath on the door across from our apartment. It is huge! And it makes me happy walking up the stairs and seeing a gi-normous silver wreath. :)

December 1

Happy Holidays!

This is on the door next to our apartment. Our floor is so festive, everyone has something Christmas on their door and it always makes me smile.
